Who teaches this
I'm Emilio, and I built the course I wish I'd had.
Miller's Academy is one person, not a faceless brand. If you enroll, I'm the one who wrote the lessons, built the software, and will answer when you email.
How I got here
The part most courses skip.
I've been trading for about ten years. I started in stocks, moved into options, and these days I trade mostly futures.
I taught myself all of it. No mentor, no trading desk, nobody to ask when something didn't make sense. I read what I could find, tried it with my own money, and worked out what was nonsense by paying for it.
In 2020 that caught up with me. I was running short call positions that were far too large for the account — leverage I didn't respect because nobody had ever made me feel the size of it. It cost me a good amount of money in a short stretch. I don't think I'd have put that trade on if there had been one person looking over my shoulder asking how much I stood to lose.
That works, eventually. It just takes far longer than it should. When you have someone to ask, you pay for the lesson in time. When you don't, you pay for it in losses — and you usually don't find out which lesson you were being taught until the bill arrives.
How I trade
Process first, always.
These days I day trade futures, and I trade them off price action. Higher timeframe first, mark the structure and the levels that matter before the session opens, then decide what I'm risking before I decide where I'm getting in. No hunting for a signal once the bell goes — the work is done beforehand, and the session is just execution.
I trade funded accounts, which imposes the discipline for you. A daily loss limit and a trailing drawdown don't care how good the setup looked. That constraint made me a better trader than any indicator did.
The course covers more ground than I trade day to day — options, structure, the longer-timeframe material — because that's what students ask for and it's where most people start. But everything I teach runs through the same tools I use myself: the same journal, the same reference material, the same rules about size. It isn't a theory I teach and then ignore.
Why I teach
Because the free stuff is mostly noise.
Because nobody did it for me.
I got here the slow way, and most of what made it slow was avoidable. Not the losses — those are tuition either way — but the years spent believing the answer was one more indicator, one better entry, one more strategy to test. It wasn't. It never was.
What decides whether you're still trading in a year is mindset: what you do after a loss, whether you follow your own rules when it's uncomfortable, whether you size a position on a plan or on a feeling. The sooner you accept that, the sooner the rest starts working. Most people spend years getting there. You don't have to.
So this isn't a strategy I'm selling you. It's the process, and the part most courses skip — taught by someone who learned it the expensive way and would rather you didn't.
What I've built
The tools came out of my own trading.
The Trader's Bible
A full reference — the Library for concepts, the Testing Room for working through setups, the Desk for session routine. It started as my own notes.
The trade journal
Log the trade and the reasoning behind it, then review the pattern in your own mistakes. Syncs between desktop and phone, installs like an app.
Custom indicators
Liquidity pool and risk-reward level tools written for NinjaTrader, built because nothing off the shelf marked what I needed to see.
The New Trader Series
The course itself — one topic per week, each building on the last, with a separate track for options.
Straight answers
What I'm not.
I am not a licensed financial adviser, broker, or money manager, and I am not registered with the SEC, FINRA, or any state regulator. Nothing I teach is investment advice or a recommendation to trade. See the full risk disclosure.
I don't sell signals or alerts. I don't post screenshots of account balances, because they prove nothing and every scam course has them. I won't tell you what to buy — the entire point is that you learn to decide for yourself.
And I won't tell you trading is easy or that most people succeed at it. Most people who trade actively lose money. If you're looking for someone to promise otherwise, there are plenty of them and I'm not one.
